Dr. Marcel Burić, Senior Research Assistant
graduated in 2002 from the Department of Archaeology, Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, University of Zagreb.
Holder of the University of Zagreb Chancellor Award for 2000.
In 2003 appointed the Junior Research Assistant at Department of Archaeology, Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, University of Zagreb.
Member of the international project IGCP/UNESCO No.442: Raw Materials of the Neolithic/Aeneolithic polished stone artefacts: Their migration paths in Europe. (1999-2002).
In 2003 Appointed a Research Assistant on the project directed by Prof. Dr. Tihomila Težak-Gregl "Raw materials and Technologies of the Prehistoric cultures in Croatia".
Member of the bilateral Croatian-Hungarian project "Archaeometrical research of lithic raw materials for early Neolithic prehistoric communities with the help of Prompt Gamma Activation Analysis, with special regard to radiolarites and obsidian". (2007-2009)
Director of the excavation of the Late Neolithic tell settlement of Bapska - Gradac in Eastern Croatia. (2007 - )
In 2009 obtained a PhD degree at the University of Zagreb with the dissertation "Vinčanska kultura i njezin utjecaj na neolitik istočne Hrvatske" (The Vinča Culture and its impact to Neolithic Period of Eastern Croatia).
In 2009 promoted to the Senior Research Assistant, Department of Archaeology, Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, University of Zagreb.
In 2011 promoted to the Scientific Advisor, Department of Archaeology, Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, University of Zagreb.
